This position is primarily remote, ensuring flexibility for our team members while working within the supportive framework of a community health clinic. Although regular business hours are maintained, occasional evening and weekend hours may be necessary for special events and programming aimed at serving the community.

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify and understand clients' social, emotional, and psychological needs, leveraging comprehensive tools and frameworks.
• Provide individual and group counseling sessions utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques to support clients in overcoming challenges associated with mental health conditions.
• Develop, implement, and continuously evaluate personalized service plans that align with clients' goals and identify necessary resources or interventions.
• Advocate vigorously for clients’ rights, ensuring they have access to essential resources and services while addressing pertinent social justice issues.
• Contribute to the development of innovative programs and facilitate grant reporting to secure funding aimed at expanding our services.
• Collaborate closely with local community organizations, government agencies, and volunteers to enhance service delivery and foster a community network of support.
• Participate in regular team meetings, training sessions, and community outreach initiatives to ensure a cohesive team and consistent client care.

You will work with a diverse clientele, including individuals and families from various backgrounds who may be coping with mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and other behavioral health issues. This role is vital in fostering an environment of acceptance and understanding, contributing to the empowerment and resilience of those we serve.

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is essential for this role.
• Current active licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Virginia is required.
• Strong understanding of mental health policies, as well as trauma-informed care practices, to effectively support our clients.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to empathize and build rapport with clients.
• Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently while maintaining detailed records and documentation within our electronic health record (EHR) system.

• Experience in a nonprofit organization or community health clinic setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with social justice advocacy, community resources, and program evaluation processes is a plus.
• Demonstrated capacity to work within a team-oriented environment and contribute positively to collaborative goals.
