Shift: Days (8hr)
Pay Range*: $60.00/hr - $87.00/hr
$5,000.00 signing bonus available to external hires new to MHS employment, contingent upon satisfaction of employment requirements.

Position Summary
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for preparing radioactive isotopes for administration to the patient, operating radioscopic equipment, such as scintillation detectors to measure isotope concentrations and scanners to record visual representations of the isotope concentrations in a specific body area of a patient.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job
• Operates scintillation detection equipment to measure isotope concentrations and scanners to record visual representations of the isotope concentrations in specific body areas.
• Performs laboratory tests, such as blood volume, red cell survival and fat absorption studies on body specimens.
• Studies phyComputes results of laboratory tests. Calculates test results, using electric calculator and monograms, following specified statistical procedures.
• Calibrates equipment according to knowledge of standard settings to produce products of required diagnostic quality.
• Keeps records of tests conducted and test results. Records the disposition of isotopes and body products containing isotopes.
• Assists with training of students and new-hire personnel to provide quality education, instruction, and orientation to the Radiology Department.
• Responsible for quality control studies and records.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
*Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications/Work Experience:
• 1+ year full-time experience in clinical Nuclear Medicine Technology, including didactic experience in approved department.
Education/Licensure/Certification:
• California Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) required.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
