The Salvation Army Midland Divisional Headquarters is hiring for a Christmas Receptionist.
This is a full-time, 35 hours per week, seasonal position, 09/21/2026 to 12/21/2026 which pays $15.00 per hour.

Essential Functions
  • Answer Christmas phone lines.
  • Provide necessary information and referrals as appropriate.
  • Determine eligibility of callers for Christmas assistance.
  • Process applications via phone and mail for qualifying applicants.
  • Track number of incoming calls and referrals daily.
  • Assist with mailings.
  • Input client data into information management system.
  • File applications after they are entered into the computer.
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with Safe From Harm guidelines.
  • Maintain positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that fosters good relationships with clients, co-workers, and supervisors. This includes, but is not limited to, such actions as: resolution of conflicts in a professional manner; courteous treatment of staff, visitors, and clients; respect of others' property and person; and professional and appropriate communication to and about clients, co-workers, and supervisors.

Education
High School diploma or equivalent. Good phone, communication, data entry, filing, computer, and organizational skills. Must be flexible in attitude and nature. Requires reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and pass TSA MVR check. Also requires other background checks. Must maintain client confidentiality. Must be available to work weekdays during office hours with some evenings and Saturdays as needed.
Physical and Work Environment Requirements
Must be capable of performing the above essential duties in an office environment to include using a computer, answering phones, etc. Most work will be indoors in a temperature-controlled environment. Work requires frequent use of computer terminal and other office equipment. Requires long periods of sitting, and close visual examination of computer products. There may be some standing, bending, carrying of light items such as papers, books, and small packages. Position may occasionally be expected to help set up rooms for meetings and special events.
