Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) - Tier 1

San Marcos Dental and Braces

Great dental assisting is proactive. It means anticipating the next step, keeping the operatory ready, helping patients feel at ease, and giving the dentist and hygienist the support they need to provide excellent care.

San Marcos Dental and Braces is looking for a Tier 1 RDA who takes pride in that level of ownership. In this role, you will be an important part of the patient experience and the clinical team, helping each appointment run smoothly from preparation through follow-up.

Pay: $17.00-$19.00 per hour

Schedule: Full-time, more than 30 hours per week. Flexible scheduling based on your availability. Monday through Saturday, with Saturday availability required.

Full-time team members may be eligible for medical, vision, and life insurance, PTO, a 401(k) retirement plan, and in-house dental benefits.

In this role, you will:

  • Support the dentist and hygienist throughout patient care and treatment
  • Prepare operatories, instruments, and materials before appointments
  • Welcome patients and help create a comfortable, reassuring experience
  • Take X-rays and maintain complete, accurate clinical documentation
  • Assist with periodontal charting, fluoride, flossing, and coronal polishing as directed
  • Reinforce treatment recommendations and help patients understand their next steps
