Job description

Position Summary:

The Rapid Response Nurse (RRN) will work toward improving inpatient outcomes by providing means for rapid identification and timely intervention with patients in decline.  Supports readiness to respond to critical events, and responds to all codes, RTT calls, medic calls, STEMI alerts (as needed), trauma alerts, trauma stats, and code OB.   Also responsible for rounding on prior ICU and other high risk patients.  Serves as an educational and compliance resource, assists with patient progression and inpatient procedures as needed. 

Required:  

  • Graduate from an accredited professional school of nursing with current Massachusetts RN licensure. 
  • Five years minimum experience as a registered nurse in a critical care unit. 
  • Must be proficient in the following skills:  IABP, IMPELLA, EKOS, IO, CRRT. 
  • Current BLS and ACLS
  • Must  obtain PALS and TNCC within 6 months of start date
  • Current Lawrence General MNA members eligible to apply.
