Lippert is excited to announce we will be relocating our RANCH HAND Shiner and Beeville, TX locations to Seguin, TX! This role will initially be based in Shiner, TX with a targeted relocation date of September 2026. Travel assistance will be available to Team Members if needed! Once the relocation to Seguin is complete this role will move to 2nd shift.

Weld Team Leader

Our Weld Team Leaders assist the Operations Supervisor in supervising and maintaining an efficient and effective Weld Department. They responsible for helping out Weld Associates when needed and reporting any associate or weld issues to the Operations Supervisor. 

Responsibilities

  • Lead a group of team members through daily activities
  • Operate manual and automated welding unites and equipment
  • Maintain length of arc and speed of movement to form specified depth of fusion and bead
  • Examine weld for bead size and other specifications
  • Repair improperly welded pieces and fill holes
  • Position and clamp work pieces together or assemble them in a jig fixture
  • Tack assemblies together
  • Communicate and work closely with associates and Weld Leader
  • Schedule work to meet customer demands
  • Interact with team members and Weld Leader to define requirements
  • Troubleshoot and solve problems within the Weld department
  • Define, implement, and maintain best practices
  • Assist in implementing progressive discipline procedures
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Work Experience: 2 years of weld experience and 2 years of Lead experience
  • Education: High School Diploma
  • Computer Skills: Basic computer skills necessary 

Preferred Requirements:

  • Work Experience: 3 years of welding/Lead experience
