SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

The position of Radiology Technologist (For ASC) is responsible for preparing patients and supplies for procedures, assisting the physician obtain images, and maintaining a clean, organized operating room. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Arrives at least 30 minutes prior to scheduled start times dependably and punctually. 
  • Check C-arm and other equipment for use before procedures.
  • Prepares and opens supplies for procedures.
  • Assists patients with transfer from stretcher to OR table.
  • Performs patient skin preparation.
  • Positions the C-arm for the physician to obtain adequate images.
  • Cleans and organizes the room before and after procedures. 
  • Purchases supplies and maintains accurate inventory to forecast needs and prevent any supply-chain lapse, with ongoing monitoring of costs, availability of new or improved supply options, and awareness of current vendor arrangements.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS

The position requires an Associate Degree in Radiology, valid and current Arkansas licensure, and two (2) years of prior Radiology Technologist experience. 

WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are expected to include 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional overtime may be required. The position operates in a professional office environment and the incumbent, in the course of performing this position, spends time writing, typing, speaking, listening, driving, seeing (such as close, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and adjusted focus), sitting, walking, standing, lifting (up to 50 pounds) and reaching. The incumbent may operate any or all of the following standard office equipment including but not limited to multi-line telephone system, postage mater, facsimile machines, calculator, photocopy machine, computer/printer, and coffee maker. The incumbent may operate medical equipment. The work environment characteristics and physical demands described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
