AMG Specialty Hospital - Oklahoma City is hiring a Full Time Telemetry Monitor Technician/Unit Secretary for Day Shifts. TheTelemetry Monitor Technician - Unit Secretary accurately interprets cardiac rhythm stripsevery 4 hours including rate, rhythm, PR interval, QRS, QT, signature andtitle. Immediately reports changes inpatient's rhythm to Primary Care Nurse. Posts copy of rhythm change in patients record. Documents arrhythmias and/or change incardiac rhythm on report sheet and gives complete/accurate report to oncomingtechnician. Properly operates monitorsystem. Properly operates speaker systemand phone system. Continuously runs astrip during a code blue. Properly completesemergency calls for staff. Tracksmonitored patients at all times. Keepscharts prepped with labeled rhythm strips. Maintains nutritional supplies. Counts prior to ordering and maintains pre-set par limits. Keep patient label book up to date. Places completed rhythm sheets in patientcharts. Provides indirect patient care in the medical surgical setting. Meets the communication needs of thepatient/family, departmental staff and medical staff. Prepares and compiles records in the MedicalSurgical Unit. Initiates directions fromphysician and nursing staff. Participates in performance improvement activities. Maintains regulatory agency requirements,nursing and hospital policies and procedures and standards. Performs other duties as needed or directedby supervisor.
