Job description

Grain Inspector

Intertek is searching for a Grain Inspector (Union) to join our Agri team in our Burnaby, BC office.  This is a fantastic opportunity to grow a versatile career!

The Grain Inspector is responsible for:

What you'll do:

        Attend Vessel loading to provide incremental grading as per CGC standards of grain, canola and pulse crops 

        Perform Moisture, Protein, Falling Number and DON testing as per acceptable industry methods

        Divide samples, make up composite samples for retention and complete required paperwork. 

        Communicate and work in collaboration with terminal shipping department

        Properly utilize and maintain all PPE           

 What it takes to be successful in this role:

         Experience in grain grading as per CGC standards

         Communication, literacy and numeracy skills in English

         Ability to work as part of a team

         Ability to work shift work

Salary Information

The base wage for this position is between $33.53-$41.66 per hour. Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.
