This role exists due to continued growth and expanding customer demand across multiple industries. Precision Molding & Machining is adding leadership capacity to strengthen daily shop-floor execution, improve production flow, and support long-term quality and efficiency goals.

The CNC Production Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring machining operations run smoothly while mentoring machinists and driving continuous improvement across the shop.

The Work You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you will:

  • Set up, program, and operate CNC Mills (3-, 4-, and 5-axis) and CNC Lathes with live tooling and dual spindles
  • Oversee daily CNC machining operations and production workflow
  • Develop and manage production schedules to ensure on-time delivery
  • Lead, mentor, and train CNC machinists in setups, quality, and best practices
  • Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and process issues on the shop floor
  • Create and maintain work instructions, job travelers, and tracking systems
  • Support fixture design, workholding solutions, and tooling strategies
  • Collaborate with leadership on quoting, workflow improvements, and capacity planning
  • Ensure machines are properly maintained and production standards are met
  • Enforce safety, quality, and operational standards across the department

This is a hands-on leadership role — you’ll be involved directly in machining, not managing from an office.

You’ll work with equipment and systems including:

  • CNC Mills (3-, 4-, and 5-axis)

CAM Software:

Inspection & Support:

  • Standard shop-floor inspection tools
  • ERP / MRP systems

What We’re Looking For

Required

  • 10+ years of CNC machining experience
  • 3+ years in a lead machinist or supervisory role
  • Strong multi-axis machining experience (mills and/or lathes)
  • Experience programming or modifying programs using Fusion 360 or similar CAM software
  • Ability to read blueprints and apply GD&T
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop machinists
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Preferred (Not Required)

  • Mold build experience
  • Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience
  • ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 quality system exposure
