Pay: $24-$25/hr

We are seeking a skilled Prototype Fabrication Technician to build and fabricate prototype automotive exhaust systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role involves MIG/TIG welding, metal fabrication, machining, and working closely with engineers to produce high-quality prototype components that meet customer specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Build and fabricate prototype exhaust systems using MIG/MAG and TIG welding.
  • Read blueprints and engineering drawings to layout, fit, and assemble components.
  • Set up and operate fabrication equipment, including lathes, mills, grinders, and other machine tools.
  • Perform metal forming, cutting, rolling, grinding, and finishing operations.
  • Conduct quality inspections and recommend improvements to reduce scrap.
  • Support engineers with prototype builds, testing, and benchmarking.
  • Maintain inventory and deliver parts to internal and external customers as needed.
