GeoSurfaces Midwest is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the planning, financial performance, execution, and successful completion of sports construction projects.

The Project Manager will manage multiple projects simultaneously, typically ranging in value from approximately $1 million to $20 million, from project award through closeout. This individual will collaborate closely with Construction Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, suppliers, engineers, architects, and clients to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with contractual requirements.

The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of civil construction operations and the ability to professionally manage project conversations, negotiations, challenges, and disputes.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Manage all aspects of assigned projects from initial setup through completion and closeout.
• Establish projects within company systems and enter approved project budgets.
• Issue purchase orders for materials, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Establish and maintain complete and accurate project files.
• Develop and maintain the master project schedule.
• Prepare and submit required project documentation, including contracts, bonds, insurance documents, stormwater documentation, subcontractor packets, submittals, and shop drawings.
• Prepare, process, submit, and track project submittals and shop drawings.
• Attend required preconstruction, jobsite, substantial-completion, and final-completion meetings.
• Conduct regular field inspections to verify compliance with project plans, specifications, contract documents, safety requirements, and quality standards.
• Prepare weekly project reports and monthly cost-to-complete reports.
• Track project profitability and actual costs against approved budgets.
• Review and approve subcontractor payment requests.
• Prepare and submit applications for payment.
• Collaborate with Construction Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, suppliers, engineers, architects, and clients.
• Identify project risks, delays, cost concerns, and potential scope conflicts.
• Resolve project issues and communicate necessary corrective action to appropriate stakeholders.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining schedules, budgets, documentation, and customer expectations.
• Support project closeout and ensure all required documentation is completed and submitted.

• Five or more years of Project Management experience within a construction company.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
• Previous experience managing civil construction projects involving dirt work, concrete, pipe, liners, underground utilities, earthwork, or related scopes.
• Vertical construction experience preferred.
• Project Management Professional certification is a plus but not required.
• Strong knowledge of civil construction processes and project delivery.
• Ability to read and interpret project plans, specifications, drawings, and contract documents.
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, including projects ranging from approximately $1 million to $20 million.
• Strong construction mathematics and cost-management abilities.
• Knowledge of National Federation of State High School Associations requirements is a plus.
• American Sports Builders Association Certified Field Builder designation is a plus.

• Moderate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with Procore or a comparable construction-management platform preferred.
• Experience with HCSS HeavyBid preferred.
• Experience with Oracle Primavera Cloud, Oracle scheduling tools, or comparable scheduling platforms preferred.
• Strong organizational and project-documentation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong negotiation, conflict-resolution, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• High level of professionalism and accountability.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
• Approximately 25% travel may be required.
• New-hire training and onboarding will be conducted at the GeoSurfaces Midwest offices in Bloomsdale and Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
• Compensation will be based on relevant civil construction experience.
• In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for the Project Manager Bonus Program.
• Must be willing to complete a background check and pre-employment drug screening in accordance with applicable laws.

This position operates in both professional office and active construction-site environments. The role requires regular interaction with project teams, contractors, clients, suppliers, and design professionals. Regional travel and field inspections are required based on project needs.
