Strategies to Empower People is looking to hire a full-time Program Manager for Behavioral Support Services program. This position coordinates, develops and implements our community-based supported living program for disabled adults who have consistent & severe behavioral and medical challenges!WHAT IS THE JOB?The Program Manager for Behavioral Support Services works alongside an experienced team of Directors, Managers and Field Supervisors to oversee and coordinate Supported Living Services for the Intellectual and/or Developmentally Disabled (I/DD) adults our agency serves in the Sacramento area! This role works directly with individuals who have potentially aggressive behaviors in their own homes and in their communities.The Program Manager for Behavioral Support Services has a hand in almost every aspect in the services we provide, from general administrative duties such as documentation, reports, and supervising field staff to on-site assessments for incoming clients, hands-on support for our current clients, and developing and implementing numerous plans, goals, and celebrations for the people we support.Because of the needs of the population this role serves, the Program Manager for Behavioral Support Services will be required to implement crisis intervention plans, write and implement therapeutic treatment plans, conduct quality assurance checks, and meet other high-supervisory and management tasks.SCHEDULEThe Program Manager for Behavioral Support Services position is a salaried exempt role with a schedule that includes on-call Monday through Friday and shares a rotating on-call weekend with the other members of the management team (potentially one weekend a month). Please note that this is not a 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. position!The rate of pay for this position is $36-$37 per hour, which transitions to salaried at $74,880-$76,960 annually following an initial training period. (rate offered dependent upon review of relevant experience and/or education)LOCATIONThis position operates out of our Sacramento office location, which is located at 2330 Glendale Lane.This is not an office-only position! The expectation for the Program Manager for Behavioral Support Services is to be on-site and available to support our clients in the Sacramento region as needed.JOB REQUIREMENTSThe Program Manager is a position that requires both experience supervising other individuals as well as having extensive experience working in the Human Services field!This role requires at least three (3) years experience working directly with individuals who have Intellectual and/or Developmental Disabilities (I/DD population).This role requires at least three (3) years experience working directly with individuals who have regular and consistent behavioral challenges, including physical aggression, elopement, self-injurious behaviors, and other challenges. This position benefits from an educational background (BA/MA) in a related field, such as Psychiatry or Social Work.This position also requires at least two (2) years of supervisory and budgetary/finance experience. This means supervising staff, NOT supervising individuals with disabilities! (Two years experience providing In-Home Support Services is NOT considered supervision!)On top of the supervisory and field experience we also need someone who understands Supported Living Services (SLS) as well as the Medi-Cal system since it is such a huge part in the services we provide.WHO ARE WE?Strategies to Empower People is a 100% employee-owned company that operates in the Greater Sacramento area, Yuba/Sutter/Placer counties, and North Bay region!
