Shipping Coordinator
The Shipping Coordinator is responsible for managing and tracking the shipment of goods, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining accurate inventory and shipment records. This role involves coordinating with carriers and internal teams, preparing shipping documents, negotiating rates, resolving logistical issues, and providing updates to customer service and stakeholders.
Status: Hourly Non-Exempt Position Type: Full-time (Occasional Overtime Required)
Hours: 40-45 hrs Schedule: M-F
Reports to: Production Control Manager

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Communicate shipping needs with internal logistics (Keylink & Wolf Logistics).
  • Schedule shipments with 3rd party logistics.
  • Work with production control, sales, and operations to expedite tasks & rush orders through production & shipping.
  • Communicate daily endangered orders to all teams, working with production teams to ensure that orders get out on time.
  • Track, communicate, and facilitate problem solving of orders that got pushed and back ordered.
  • Provide recommendations on how to improve order fulfillment and lead times.
  • Communicate regularly with various teams about current production lead times.
  • Assist with inventory counts & reconciliations of finished goods.
  • Monitor the execution of the production and shipping plan and resolve any potential issues in a timely fashion.
  • Adhere to company standards and production policies to meet company objectives.
  • Support and help in other areas as the manufacturing & shipping schedule dictates.
  • Apply Lean Thinking to teamwork and processes (waste, flow, level work, etc.)
  • Other duties as needed: Job duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time and may include potential transfers to other departments and local facilities.
