Our Product Consumer Insights team occupies a central role in uncovering the evolving needs of our members, generating insights at each step of their product experience to drive more business impact and member joy. Netflix is expanding beyond shows and movies into games, advertising, live sports, live events, and more. This Senior Researcher role will focus on evaluating, prioritizing, and shaping fast-moving, newer company-wide bets, with the aim of continuing to delight members in our mission to entertain the world.

We are looking for a seasoned researcher who has deep experience leading innovative, zero-to-one research in new spaces, with demonstrable impact on a global scale. You will be responsible for defining, leading, analyzing, and socializing research studies that generate insights to empower business and product decisions across the company. You'll partner with cross-functional teams who are passionate about delivering the most engaging, innovative, and inclusive experiences.

In this role, you will: Identify, prioritize, lead, and execute on research roadmaps that generate insights to inform product strategies across the company. Partner with cross-functional teams at the intersection of Product and Content, including Product Innovation, Design, Data Science, Engineering, Content Strategy, Product Marketing, and Communications to proactively develop research initiatives. Define, design, execute, and socialize a range of research studies that build a strong understanding of existing and future audiences and their experiences around the world.

Identify best practices in existing and emerging research methodologies. About you: At least 7+ years of demonstrable experience in product research and/or user experience (UX) research, with particular experience designing and leading end-to-end, complex quantitative research studies. A balance of creative and analytical skills with the ability to proactively define research questions, identify appropriate methods, execute studies, and synthesize findings with statistical rigor.

Strong communicator with a bias toward action to proactively collaborate with multiple teams across the company. Passionate about translating findings into actionable strategic business recommendations. An advanced degree in psychology, social sciences, or a related field is preferred but not required.

Global research experience is highly preferred but not required. Familiarity or experience with futurecasting, design strategy, innovation frameworks, and research in emergent areas is preferred but not required Experience, passion and/or interest in games is preferred but not required Generally, our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options.

To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $294,000.00 - $470,000.00. Netflix provides comprehensive benefits including Health Plans, Mental Health support, a 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer match, Stock Option Program, Disability Programs, Health Savings and Flexible Spending Accounts, Family-forming benefits, and Life and Serious Injury Benefits

We also offer paid leave of absence programs. Full-time hourly employees accrue 35 days annually for paid time off to be used for vacation, holidays, and sick paid time off. Full-time salaried employees are immediately entitled to flexible time off.
