Position Summary

  • Responsible for assisting Construction Managers on large construction project and managing small projects for SIH.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Standards of Performance: Respect, integrity, compassion, collaboration, stewardship, accountability, quality.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or Technology.

Licenses and Certification

  • None required.

Experience and Skills

  • Technical Experience: Preferred to have worked in construction field with healthcare experience.

  • Experience with reading constrution drawings and technical specifications

  • Experience with quanity take offs

  • Experience with order and tracking and coordinating delivery of materials, equipment and labor.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook (Email and Calendar) Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.

  • Effective communication skills

Role Specific Responsibilities

  • Assist Construction Managers and Corporate Director of Facilities with day to day management of construction projects.

  • Participates in design meetings with architects, engineers, construction manager, and SIH staff.

  • Assist with obtaining close out documents

  • Assist with pay application review

  • Assist with permitting requirements and follow up on projects

  • Assisting with posting of documents on construction sites

  • Assist with documenting locating and storing of project Furniture, Fixture and Equipment.

  • Participates as an owner's representative in the design and construction process as assigned.

  • Assist with review of design and construction documents for compliance with applicable codes and standards.

  • Assist with maintaining all aspects of project management.

  • Assist with budgeting

  • Assist with review of shop drawings when required.

  • Assist with quantity take offs

  • Assist with keeping budgets updated

  • Assist with Hospital Contractor training program

  • Assist with issuance and follow up of ICRA and ILSM documentation

  • Assist with data entry
