Description
This is a 2nd shift position. The hours are Sunday-Thursday 3:30pm- 11:30 pm.
The Kentucky Department of Education (KDE), Office of Special Education and Early Learning, Division of StateSchools, Kentucky School for the Blind (KSB) in Louisville (Jefferson County) has an opening for a StudentDevelopment Assistant, 2nd Shift.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
  • Provide supervision and instruction to students regarding homework and study assistance. Ensure safety andaccountability. Maintain cleanliness of dorm.
  • Assist students with independent living skills and conflict resolution skills. Assist with literacy programsand assist students with organization of leisure time.
  • Interprets and apply school policies related to the student development program, including discipline.Maintain appropriate records and submit reports. Attend meetings.
  • Complete and maintain student records/reports. Attend necessary student meetings.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
