Job description

Toolcraft Machining, Inc. is seeking skilled 5-Axis Machinists to join our team, at our facility in Germantown, WI.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Ability to set up and operate any of the following machines:
    • DMU 125 Duo-block
    • 5-Axis Machines (Mill/Turn) - DMG Mori with Siemens control
  • Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, models, routing instructions, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations and setup requirements.
  • Determine tooling requirements, setup procedures and control settings.
  • Set up CNC machine with setup blocks, fixtures, clamps, or any other necessary devices to receive and hold parts/components for safe machining operation.
  • Monitor and/or develop speed, feed, depth, or angle of cut during machining operations.
  • Enter program commands within machine controller or retrieve preprogrammed code.
  • Monitor machine to change cutting tools/inserts as required.
  • Measure parts for conformance to blueprint specifications (.002 or potentially tighter tolerance) and GD&T.
  • Manually adjust machine controls to prevent out-of-tolerance machining.
  • Monitor and maintain proper cleanliness of machine and work area daily.

Essential Job Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience setting up and running 5-Axis machines
  • 5+ years of experience in CNC machining
  • Proficient in GD&T, Blueprint reading, and G-Code
  • Ability to lift materials up to 50 pounds

Preferred Not Required:

  • Experience with Mastercam programming and editing.
        • Experience with Powermill programming and editing.
        • Previous experience working in a “job shop” (low quantities/highly technical pieces)
        • Experience operating overhead cranes and hoists.

        • Full time - 1st Shift
        • Hourly - non-exempt
        • $4,000 retention bonus paid over the first year
