Build, configure, and maintain PostgreSQL and MS SQL Databases in development, testing, and production environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform database upgrades, patches, and migrations.
- Manage database users, roles, and permissions.
- Monitor database performance and implement tuning improvements.
- Optimize SQL queries, indexes, and database configurations.
- Analyze execution plans and resolve bottlenecks.
Required Skills:
- Experience with cloud-managed databases (AWS RDS, Aurora Postgres RDS, EC2)
- Knowledge of scripting languages (Bash, Python, PowerShell)
- Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, dynatrace)
