Job description

POSITION OVERVIEW: Chiquita is seeking a PMO Manager to lead, evolve, and continuously mature the Project Management Office (PMO) framework, driving consistent execution, portfolio visibility, and executive-ready insights across the organization.
Reporting directly to the CIO, this role defines and governs how projects are structured, delivered, measured, and reported as enterprise standards. The PMO Manager plays a critical role in improving transparency, delivery discipline, and leadership decision-making.
This position ensures that project reporting moves beyond simple status updates by transforming portfolio execution data into clear, actionable insights on portfolio health. These insights support CIO decision-making and provide the Board with visibility into results and future direction.
Beyond governance and reporting, the PMO Manager proactively evaluates project management practices, processes, tools, and performance insights to anticipate future needs and continuously improve productivity, efficiency, and delivery outcomes.
The PMO operates as an enabler of value and execution excellence. This role partners closely with Project Managers, Team Leaders, functional areas, and IT leadership to drive the adoption of standards and best practices, elevate delivery maturity, and enable coordinated, enterprise-wide project execution.
This is an on-site, exempt position based at Chiquitas U.S. headquarters in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
