Job description

Raymour & Flanigan is the largest furniture and mattress retailer in the Northeastern U.S. and the seventh largest nationwide. Family-owned for over 70 years, we're proud to help people come home to comfort through the passion and dedication of more than 5,000 associates across seven states. From our showrooms and outlet stores to our distribution centers, our mission is simple: deliver an exceptional shopping experience that reflects the warmth and comfort of home.

Role Summary: The Product Data Specialist supports accurate, high-quality product data onboarding and maintenance within the PIM ecosystem. This role plays a key part in preparing, validating, and organizing product data using Excel and Google Sheets while ensuring information flows cleanly across systems and teams.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with structured data and spreadsheets and proudly leans into their "Excel nerd" side. The ideal candidate enjoys solving problems, identifying patterns, improving processes, and finding smarter ways to manage information.
Working cross-functionally with merchandising, vendors, and digital teams, the Product Data Specialist helps ensure product information is accurate, structured correctly, and ready to move through downstream systems while contributing to ongoing process improvements that strengthen data quality and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate vendor data intake by managing Excel templates, providing guidance, and ensuring completeness and accuracy before approval.
Import approved product data into our PIM and validate successful ingestion against business rules, attributes, and classification standards.
Prepare and publish new products to the website, performing full front-end validation and communicating activation status to partners.
Follow onboarding workflows and timelines in project management tools, keeping Project Managers and team members aligned with updates throughout the process.
Monitor and improve PIM data quality through audits, bulk updates, grouping cleanup, and ongoing validation/error review.
Contribute to continuous improvement of templates, documentation, and governance processes by providing feedback and new ideas about the processes and workflows.

Skills & Competencies:
Advanced Excel / Google Sheets proficiency, including working with formulas, organizing large datasets, and performing bulk data manipulation
Strong experience with data entry and data intake
Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to identify inconsistencies, missing information, and data quality issues within complex datasets
Strong communication skills for collaborating with vendors, internal teams, and leadership stakeholders
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and adhering to timelines
Experience with Wrike or similar project management tools is a plus
Self-starter mindset, with the ability to learn quickly, work independently, and share knowledge or process improvements with team members
This role will work in the office full-time at our Field Support Center in Liverpool, NY
Ideal Candidate Attributes
Passionate about data quality, accuracy, and continuous process improvement
Highly organized, with strong prioritization and time management skills
Proactive problem-solver who anticipates roadblocks and adapts workflows as needed
Collaborative team player who communicates clearly and brings a coachable, growth-oriented mindset
Comfortable working in fast-paced, cross-functional environments while maintaining strong attention to detail

Raymour & Flanigan proudly supports a drug and smoke free work environment.
Please note that we are currently unable to offer visa sponsorship for this position. Candidates must have authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for sponsorship now or in the future.
