WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • 3+ years of related work experience
  • Managerial experience in an automated warehouse, distribution center, store or manufacturing environment
  • E-Commerce, direct-to-consumer environment, and managerial experience is preferred

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study or equivalent years of related work experience required

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Computer - working knowledge of Windows, MS Office, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), AS/400, Lotus Notes, Sterling Commerce
  • Working knowledge of small parcel processes and parcel shipping systems.
  • Solid knowledge of web based retail environment
  • Support accuracy, throughput, and customer service metrics
  • Knowledge of logistics, managerial techniques and principles
  • Ability to supervise, develop and motivate a team of associates toward the completion of strategic goals in a fast-paced production environment
  • Ability to identify inefficiencies, areas to improve, formulates action plans and implements changes
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
  • Proficient in managing reverse logistics processes
  • Possess the desire and ability to quickly achieve and maintain a working knowledge of all systems used within the Fulfillment Center

  •  Ability to train and assist eCom Team Member in the setup and capabilities of the WMS and associated systems and peripherals
  • Operate effectively in a non-climate controlled environment
  • Ability to travel for training at a network distribution center located remotely for up to three months (temporary housing will be provided if needed)
  • Demonstrate ability to grow in position as operation expands and grows
  • Strong internal and external customer focus to support and improve the customer experience

ATTENDANCE:

  • Regular attendance required

SOME DUTIES:

  • Ensure shipments are configured to maximize efficiencies, minimize cost and order fulfillment errors without sacrificing customer service
  • Initiate actions to increase customer satisfaction with the ordering and returning goods processes
  • Train staff to use all new developments and applications as they pertain to different modes of transportation in support of e-commerce
  • Partner with the onsite e-commerce team to convey key resource needs and requirements
  • Familiar with inbound shipments and provide daily reports on status
  • Ensure that work is performed according to standards, policies, procedures, processes and safe practices
  • Required to learn and follow company policies and procedures
  • Required to learn and follow company safety rules and ensures safety is promoted
  • Manage all operations related to the picking and packing of customer orders of merchandise
  • Manage a diverse workforce of 50 plus team members, including hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, coaching, and terminating.  Track and coach performance against goals
  • Effectively allocate resource to meet daily, weekly, and monthly objectives
  • Walk the floor regularly to manage the workflow through the department
  • Work with the manager as a team and is able to make independent decisions
  • Analyze operations, and develop and implement processes and procedures to improve efficiency and cost effectiveness
  • Ensure accuracy, throughput, and customer service metrics are met within the department
  • Motivate team and collaborates with other business partners
  • Ensure all records and reports for the department are accurate and meet reporting deadlines
  • Maintain knowledge and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations
