Position:Material Handler/Forklift Driver
Job Description:

Arrow Electronics | Reno, NV

Shift: 8:30AM - 5:00PM, Monday-Friday.

Hourly Rate: $20.00

Hourly Pay: up to $22.50 for hours worked between 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM.

Overtime: Regular OT and occasional Saturdays as needed.

Arrow Electronics is looking for motivated and reliable team members to join our fast-paced electronics repair and processing facility. The Material Handler/Forklift Driver is responsible for moving assets/materials safely using power industrial trucks and is expected to move material on foot or utilizing powered equipment. This position supports the operation by working in one or more of the following areas: receiving, storing, picking and shipping. Operation of Order Picker, Reach lift, and/or Stand-up/Sit-down lift.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Responsible for labor distribution and workflow to ensure quality and production goals are met
  • Support one or more departments: storing, receiving, space management
  • Transport/staging/storing of product
  • Maintain work and product store areas
  • Must be experienced with operating an order picker and reach truck forklift
  • This position requires use of handheld and/or tablet
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies and procedures
  • Ensure quantity, quality, and accuracy of throughput
  • Ensure equipment is in safe operating condition by appropriate equipment inspections

  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience
  • Ability to regularly operate a computer for basic functions
  • Ability to operate an order picker and reach truck forklift
  • Collaborate with team members, leads, and supervisors to contribute to department-wide production & quality goals
  • Must be comfortable working under high productivity and quality standards
  • You absolutely must be able to work well in a team-environment and will also have opportunity as an individual contributor
  • Impeccable attendance is required
  • Be available to work a flexible work schedule as needed during overtime requirements
  • Maintain a safe work environment by following established safety procedures 
  • Maintain organization, cleanliness, and 5S standards within facility and daily workspace.
