Autoport Limited is hiring full-time Rail Department employees in Vaughan, Ontario!

This is an entry-level position, but there is no need to stop there; within Autoport, there is ample opportunity for growth, with tenured employees of 20+ years.


This position involves unloading vehicles to transport by truck, or train. This diverse team works together to productively meet deadlines, solve problems, and carefully drive vehicles off of railcars for consignment. This role will also require climbing up and down railcar ladders, opening and closing railcar doors, placing and removing chocks that secure vehicles for shipment, and the ability to be able to climb in and out of vehicles repeatedly.


This role involvesphysical labour and requires employees to work outdoors year-round. If you thrive off the high of a "good day's work" and are comfortable in a physically demanding environment, this position may be for you.


Qualifications and Requirements

  • Punctual and reliable
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Team player with a strong safety mindset
  • Valid Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record
  • Able to adhere to quality and safety standards
  • Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Physically capable of performing manual labour, including: climbing ladders up to 15 feet in height; lifting, and carrying items weighing up to 50lbs; working on uneven surfaces and in an active railyard environment
  • Must be able to drive a manual vehicle
