JLS Mailing Services has over 10 decades of experience in the printing and mailing services business. We provide a comprehensive suite of services to some of the most prestigious companies in the Northeast- from data processing and the development of both digital and paper mail communications right through to the resulting delivery process to the end user/ via sophisticated postal automation equipment. Our reputation is built on our commitment to providing outstanding quality and service to our clients.

Role Description

  • This is a full-time on-site role for a Bindery Specialist located in Brockton, MA. The Bindery Specialist is responsible for most major cutting, folding, drilling and shrink-wrapping functions in JLS’ in-house print and mail shop. Candidates are responsible for reviewing and preparing jobs to the specifications within the department’s job orders. Efficiency, safety and accuracy in completing these orders is essential, which may include conducting checks on the materials produced and other requirements.  The ideal candidates are able to cross-trained on other equipment to continue their development and to support other departments as needed. Lastly, maintenance of the work area for cleanliness and organization is a requirement. 

Job Skills, Education and/or Work Experience 

  • High School or equivalent; college a plus
  • 5+ years of experience in digital printing profession or mailing industry helpful
  • Additional experience with the following or similar equipment desired:
    • MBO Folders and attachments
    • Challenge Cutter
    • Challenge 3-Hole Drill
    • Besler Shrinkwrap 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to use with internal staff members at all levels
  • Computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook) - this position uses software for order processing 
  • Must maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards
  • Must be able to work independently, sometimes under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary service
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and speak and listen clearly on the telephone and in person.
