Job description

Project Manager - EPC Team

Location: Denver, Colorado
Work Arrangement: Onsite with Hybrid Flexibility
Travel: Approximately 20%
Compensation: $50–$70/hour, based on experience

Build Projects. Lead Teams. Make an Impact.

CANUSA EPC is looking for an experienced EPC Project Manager in the Oil & Gas industry to join our Denver team.

This is an opportunity for a project leader who understands oil & gas engineering and knows how to bring people, priorities, budgets, schedules, and clients together to successfully deliver projects.

You'll lead multidisciplinary projects across the upstream, midstream, gas processing, pipeline, compression, and industrial sectors, working directly with clients and alongside engineering, design, procurement, fabrication, and construction teams.

We're looking for someone who can see the big picture without losing sight of the details someone who takes ownership, communicates well, solves problems, and keeps projects moving.

What You'll Do

As an EPC Project Manager, you'll take ownership of projects from planning through execution and closeout. You'll:

  • Lead multidisciplinary EPC projects and serve as a primary point of contact for clients.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, forecasting, quality, risk, and overall financial performance.
  • Coordinate engineering, design, procurement, fabrication, construction, and commissioning activities.
  • Develop project execution plans, schedules, forecasts, estimates, and performance reports.
  • Lead project meetings and keep clients, vendors, contractors, and internal teams aligned.
  • Manage project changes, change orders, contract modifications, and evolving client requirements.
  • Support equipment procurement, vendor coordination, subcontractors, and construction planning.
  • Review key engineering deliverables and help ensure designs meet project requirements.
  • Identify project risks early and drive practical solutions.
  • Build strong client relationships and identify opportunities for future work.
  • Mentor and support engineers, designers, and other project team members.

What We're Looking For

You don't need to check every possible technical box. We're looking for someone with a strong foundation in oil & gas project execution who knows how to lead a team and successfully deliver work.

You'll be a strong fit if you have:

  • 5+ years of experience in engineering and/or project management within oil & gas, energy, or industrial EPC environments.
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary engineering or EPC projects.
  • A strong understanding of project scope, schedules, budgets, forecasting, change management, and project financials.
  • Experience working with oil & gas facilities, pipelines, compression, gas processing, or similar infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with engineering deliverables such as P&IDs, equipment layouts, specifications, and multidisciplinary design packages.
  • Strong client-facing communication and relationship-management skills.
  • The ability to lead multiple priorities and make sound decisions in a fast-moving project environment.
  • A bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to travel approximately 20% as project needs require.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) licensure or the ability to obtain licensure in the next year.

Experience That Would Be a Plus

We're especially interested in candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Upstream or midstream oil & gas facilities
  • Gas processing and compression
  • Brownfield and greenfield facility projects
  • Procurement and vendor management
  • Construction and commissioning support
  • Project controls and TIC estimating
  • ASME, API, NEC, NFPA, or other applicable industry standards
  • AutoCAD, Navisworks, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, ProMax, or Aspen HYSYS
  • Business development, estimating, or proposal developmen
  •

These are preferred qualifications not a checklist. If your background aligns strongly with oil & gas EPC project management, we encourage you to apply.

Why CANUSA EPC?

At CANUSA EPC, you'll have the opportunity to work closely with the people actually executing the work. Our project managers aren't buried several layers away from engineering or our clients — they're an important part of how we deliver successful projects

This position offers:

  • Competitive compensation of $50–$72/hour, depending on experience
  • Hybrid flexibility with a Denver-based team
    • Work Arrangement: This is primarily an onsite role in our Denver office. We recognize that life happens and offer flexibility for appointments, family needs, and occasional remote work when appropriate. This position is not structured as a traditional or regularly scheduled hybrid role
  • Exposure to a variety of oil & gas and industrial projects
  • Opportunities to lead projects from concept through execution
  • Direct interaction with clients and company leadership
  • A collaborative, multidisciplinary engineering environment
  • Opportunities to grow your technical, leadership, and client-development experience

If you're an experienced oil & gas professional who enjoys leading teams, solving project challenges, and taking ownership of project success, we'd like to hear from you.
