Job description

The crane/winch mechanic will:

  • Provide emergency/unscheduled equipment repairs and scheduled maintenance repairs.
  • Perform mechanical skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.

Required:

  • High school diploma (college courses preferred)
  • Knowledge about basic and specialty tools and test instruments
  • Effective verbal and written communicator
  • Decision-making and troubleshooting abilities
  • Understand ship repair/building industry legal and commercial requirements
  • Planned and unplanned travel
  • US work authorization
