Job description

Summary and Objective
  • To ensure that anyone trying to enter or exit the facility has appropriate reasoning to do so, proper identification, and documentation
Position Type
  • This is a full-time position on a schedule of 7/7 (12 hours per day), Night Shift (5 PM to 5 AM)

Essential Job Functions
  • Display and encourage teamwork among employees and customers
  • Maintain positive working relationships with all employees and clients
  • Communicate effectively with peers, clients, and members of management
  • Ensure every person who enters the facility has proper identification
  • Ensure every person entering the facility has official business to be conducted on the facility
  • Request information on reason for entering facility (Delivery, pick-up, service, etc.)
  • Ensure every person's required information is legibly documented on the sign-in sheet
  • Ensure everyone who enters the facility also signs in
  • Direct guests who are visiting the facility to their destination
  • Perform random vehicle inspections at the time of entry, as required per MARSEC level
  • Document vehicle inspections as set forth in company policy
  • Ensure that vehicles exiting the facility have valid manifest for equipment they are exiting the facility with
  • Document facility rules and office locations to be given to driver entering facility, and ensure this is returned prior to same driver exiting facility
  • Have familiarity with various types of oil and gas industry equipment and what is "normal" industry standard in regards to how it arrives and leaves the facility (In particular, the securement process of equipment)
  • Notify Facility Security Officer of suspicious activity
  • Possess knowledge of current security threats and patterns
  • Practice good housekeeping of the assigned Guard House (Ex. sweeping and mopping)
  • Complete all tasks assigned by a supervisor not to exceed the physical requirements of the job description
QHSE Responsibilities
  • Ensure that everyone entering the facility has proper Personal Protective Equipment
  • Utilize Stop Work Authority when necessary
  • Adhere to and comply with company policies, OSHA, and environmental regulations
  • Abide by, convey, and enforce all safety rules, including the wear of PPE for oneself and others, including third-party personnel on site at the facility
  • Operate in the company Management System (Unisea)
Work Environment
  • Must work weekends and holidays as necessary
  • Work within an 8'X15' guard shack with AC & Heat, restroom, microwave, and refrigerator
  • May be subject to environmental exposure to heat, cold, smoke, dust, fumes, and gases
Physical Requirements
  • While performing job duties, the employee is required to stand, walk, sit; use hand and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl: talk and hear; and taste and smell.
  • The employee must occasionally lift or move more than 10 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required for the job include close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
