Summary

The Machinist position requires skills developed through formal training or work experience, high attention to detail and safety. You will work within established procedures and guidelines with limited ability to modify approach and must complete assigned tasks with a moderate degree of supervision.


Job Responsibilities
  • Perform work in compliance with all safety, environmental, and quality expectations while supporting a production schedule.
  • Execute daily priorities and duties as defined by the supervisor or area lead.
  • Set up and operate a variety of CNC machines (HBM/VMC Milling machines) to produce products that meet required specifications throughout the manufacturing shop.
  • Complete required documentation (work routers, inspections sheets, etc.) with accurate information.
  • Inspect and ensure all dimensions are within print specifications by applying GD&T (Geometric, Dimensioning and Tolerancing) concepts and report any non-conformities.
  • The employee must regularly lift, push, pull and/or move up to 30 lbs and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Operate overhead cranes to move, lift, and flip parts safely.
  • Ability to apply basic written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic math and basic PC skills.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, work orders and drawings.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Meet consistent attendance.
  • Ability to work, focus and thrive in a very fast paced and noisy work environment.
  • Ability to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions, if required.
  • Maintain a safe, clean and organized working environment by following housekeeping guidelines.

  • Performs additional related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant CNC machining experience on HBM and VMC milling machines.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in a range of processes or procedures. Basic understanding of how the team integrates with others. Good communication skills to exchange moderately complex information, typically within own team.


Desired Characteristics

  • 8+ years of CNC machining preferably on large mills/HBM and Vertical Mills - 4&5 axis
  • Advanced understanding of CNC machine controls such as Siemens, Mazatrol, Toshiba or equivalent.
  • Advanced knowledge of cutting tools, processes, hand tools and measuring equipment.
  • Working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Ability to calculate and set controls to regulate machining.
  • Demonstrated ability to read engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Read and interpret G-code programs.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic and adherence to processes and policies.

    • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis, now or in the future, without employer sponsorship for employment visa status.
    • 1st shift 6:30am - 3pm Monday through Friday (with overtime as required), some weekends/holidays will be required.
    • No relocation assistance provided.
