Job description

Salary:

Summary / Objective

The Business Development position is responsible for the development, growth, support, and longterm success of VSP Technologies Nuclear Sales initiatives within an assigned region. This role drives customer acquisition and strategic account expansion while positioning VSP as a trusted technical and commercial partner.


Essential Functions

Market Development and Strategy

  • Develop and execute business development strategies focused on nuclear power generation and data center markets
  • Identify, target, and close new customers within the assigned region
  • Support national contract identification, development, and implementation within the assigned region
  • Monitor industry trends, customer needs, competitor activity, and regulatory influences affecting the nuclear and data center markets
  • Coordinate and support customer training initiatives related to products, applications, safety, and best practices

Customer Engagement

  • Lead high-level customer engagement with engineering, reliability, procurement, and operations stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities to convert customers to VSP engineered solutions and exclusive offerings
  • Collaborate with engineering to align technical solutions with customer operational and compliance requirements
  • Project a professional and technically credible image of VSP to promote trust, confidence, and long-term partnerships

Financial Planning

  • Develop forecasts and prepare annual and quarterly budgets for the assigned region
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and customer cost-savings initiatives
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of customer savings, value creation, and project outcomes
  • Utilize Salesforce as the primary sales, forecasting, and customer management tool

Collaboration and Relationship Building

  • Work closely with internal sales teams, engineering, operations, and leadership to ensure effective execution of growth initiatives
  • Maintain positive working relationships across all VSP departments to foster a collaborative, results-driven culture
  • Responsible for the assigned sales teams quarterly documentation of customer cost savings resulting from service and support for customers in the region

Travel

Moderate overnight travel is expected when working within territory, attending training, and participating in corporate meetings.

Education and Experience

  1. Bachelors degree in a technical, business, or related discipline or equivalent experience
  2. Advanced Salesforce knowledge and application
  3. Customer service interactions, support, and sales experience (Nuclear preferred)
  4. Proven work experience as a Regional Sales Manager or similar senior sales role (Preferred)
  5. Industrial experience (Preferred)


This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Hours may vary based on the demands of the position.
