Job description

Position Overview

Northridge Therapeutic Clinic is seeking a dedicated and skilled Mental Health Counselor to join our collaborative team in a fully remote capacity. This full-time role offers a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $100,000 annually, reflecting your valuable experience in providing mental health care. In this position, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality therapeutic interventions to individuals, couples, and families, all while ensuring that client care remains our top priority.

About the Organization

Northridge Therapeutic Clinic is committed to creating an intimate, family-like atmosphere where clients receive personalized and compassionate care, rather than impersonal, high-volume services. We specialize in individual, family, and couples therapy, focusing on comprehensive mental health treatment strategies designed to address the unique needs of each client. Our team of licensed professionals strives to foster resilience, compassion, and healing within the communities we serve, primarily utilizing telehealth modalities.

Work Environment

The work environment at Northridge is entirely remote, allowing for flexibility and a healthy work-life balance. Our clinic leverages advanced telehealth technologies to deliver exceptional mental health services, ensuring that clinicians can engage effectively with clients from the comfort of their own homes. This setup not only enhances accessibility for clients but also provides therapists with a supportive framework to deliver care efficiently and empathetically.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients to establish appropriate therapeutic plans and interventions.
  • Provide individual, family, and couples therapy sessions virtually, ensuring a client-centered approach that considers each person's unique needs.
  • Develop and implement crisis intervention strategies for patients facing acute mental health challenges.
  • Work collaboratively with community resources, medical professionals, and other stakeholders to connect clients with necessary support services.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate client records, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and relevant regulations.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay updated on best practices in mental health care and therapeutic methodologies.
  • Foster an open and trusting therapeutic relationship that encourages clients to engage actively in their healing process.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will be prepared to work with diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and families facing a variety of mental health challenges. Our clients often present with issues such as anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, trauma, and co-occurring disorders. As a Mental Health Counselor at Northridge, you will directly impact your clients’ lives, guiding them toward improved mental well-being through evidence-based therapeutic techniques.

Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Current and active licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Pennsylvania.
  • A minimum of 2 years of direct clinical experience in a relevant mental health context.
  • Exceptional clinical judgment and strong communication skills, coupled with a genuine passion for helping others.
  • Proven ability to create a safe and welcoming therapeutic environment while working effectively in a fast-paced telehealth setting.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in crisis intervention and working with a multidisciplinary team, including first responders.
  • Knowledge of best practices in mental health therapy and familiarity with community resources for client referrals.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and adaptability within a dynamic healthcare landscape.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Competitive salary range of $90,000 – $100,000 per year based on experience.
  • Comprehensive health insurance including medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching.
  • Flexible spending accounts and health savings accounts to support healthcare expenses.
  • Generous paid time off policy, enabling work-life balance and personal well-being.
  • Life insurance and additional benefits to safeguard your future.
  • Flexible scheduling options to accommodate your lifestyle.
