Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients to establish appropriate therapeutic plans and interventions.
• Provide individual, family, and couples therapy sessions virtually, ensuring a client-centered approach that considers each person's unique needs.
• Develop and implement crisis intervention strategies for patients facing acute mental health challenges.
• Work collaboratively with community resources, medical professionals, and other stakeholders to connect clients with necessary support services.
• Maintain detailed and accurate client records, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and relevant regulations.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay updated on best practices in mental health care and therapeutic methodologies.
• Foster an open and trusting therapeutic relationship that encourages clients to engage actively in their healing process.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will be prepared to work with diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and families facing a variety of mental health challenges. Our clients often present with issues such as anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, trauma, and co-occurring disorders. As a Mental Health Counselor at Northridge, you will directly impact your clients’ lives, guiding them toward improved mental well-being through evidence-based therapeutic techniques.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current and active licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Pennsylvania.
• A minimum of 2 years of direct clinical experience in a relevant mental health context.
• Exceptional clinical judgment and strong communication skills, coupled with a genuine passion for helping others.
• Proven ability to create a safe and welcoming therapeutic environment while working effectively in a fast-paced telehealth setting.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in crisis intervention and working with a multidisciplinary team, including first responders.
• Knowledge of best practices in mental health therapy and familiarity with community resources for client referrals.
• Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and adaptability within a dynamic healthcare landscape.
