Job description

Serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors in a fast-paced ambulatory surgery center. This role is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while ensuring efficient patient registration, accurate collection of demographic and insurance information, and compliance with all center policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities include greeting and assisting patients and visitors, answering and directing telephone calls, collecting and verifying patient identification and insurance information, obtaining required signatures, and maintaining accurate patient records within in the practice management and revenue cycle systems. This position is responsible for collecting copayments and deductibles and issuing receipts.

Additional responsibilities include coordinating with clinical staff regarding patient readiness and appointment status. Preparing patient charts, maintaining confidentiality of all patient and financial information in accordance with HIPPA regulations, monitoring office supply inventory, and assisting with general administrative tasks to support daily operations.

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong organizational skills, attention to detail, excellent computer and telephone skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (including Outlook and Excel), and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.  NextGen, Provation, Athena, Clariti, and InstaMed knowledge a plus.

Full-time position, Monday through Friday, No weekends, 8 paid holidays.
