Job description

Total Seed Production is a corn and soybean seed production facility and is looking to fill the position of Soybean Production Manager.

The Soybean Production Manager oversees both internal and external grower soybean seed production throughout the growing season and coordinates all incoming bulk soybean deliveries coming into the conditioning facility. This position communicates daily with the Management Team to communicate the needs of TSP resources to help inspect, transport, discard and/or otherwise prioritize our soybean customers’ requests.

Experience & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years experience, Associate degree with 4+ years, or high school diploma with 6+ years of related experience (or equivalent combination)
  • Proven leadership or supervisory experience
  • Background in agriculture and/or manufacturing preferred
  • Strong communication skills with employees, customers, and vendors
  • Ability to solve problems quickly and support team success
  • Experience in corn or soybean seed production, grower management, or customer-focused roles preferred

Responsibilities may include:

  • Attend and participate in daily and weekly management meetings
  • Ensure high-quality production and strong customer service
  • Build and maintain relationships with growers and customers
  • Support development and oversight of grower contracts and production strategies
  • Evaluate processes and drive continuous improvement
  • Oversee equipment setup, calibration, maintenance, and repairs
  • Monitor and ensure completion of required field and bin inspections
  • Maintain accurate production records and documentation
  • Identify issues, manage nonconforming product, and implement corrective actions
  • Research and implement new technologies and production methods
  • Operate heavy equipment as needed

  • Promote a positive workplace culture and uphold company policies
  • Support staffing needs and employee development
  • Complete performance reviews and communicate employee concerns
  • Ensure HR responsibilities are completed on time
