Overview

Connection has a fantastic opportunity through our Technical Staffing division for a Network Engineer in Falls Church, VA. This is a long-term contract opportunity that is Hybrid and offers outstanding benefits.

The candidate must possess a previous (within 2 years) or existing United Stated SECRET clearance.

The Network Engineer will focus on expanding the capabilities of the Network Access Control (NAC) system and will play a key role in current NAC environment and working with a team to add new functionalities.

Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the existing NAC system (experience with ForeScout, Cisco ISE, ClearPass, or similar NAC solutions).
  • Analyze network traffic and device behavior to identify areas for NAC improvement.
  • Design and implement new NAC functionalities to enhance security posture.
  • Collaborate with security and network operations teams.
  • Document procedures and configurations for new NAC features.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Familiarity with NAC platform, experience with ForeScout NAC a plus.
  • 3-5 years of experience in network engineering or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of network security concepts, including access control principles.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
