Job description

INODE is a leading information technology (IT) professional services Women Owned Small Business (WOSB) specializing in IT infrastructure, systems engineering, business intelligence, and data science services for federal, state and local organizations. We are looking for an experienced Systems Administrator to join our team as a Storage Systems Administrator who will lead the planning, deployment, and management of complex vSAN Storage environment. This is a salaried position, full-time, onsite at the Maxwell Air Force Base Gunter Annex 


Job Requirements:

  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Active DoD Secret or higher Clearance
  • Active IAT Level II or higher certification
  • Available to work onsite Monday-Friday standard day hours
  • Lead the administration of complex Storage Area Network (SAN) environments
  • Administration of CIFS, NFS, FC configurations, fabric switches and configurations, Dell Data Domain systems, Veritas NetBackup, VMware environments, and Windows Operating systems
  • Responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of enterprise-wide storage related infrastructure both production and disaster recovery
  • Ensure high availability, performance, and scalability of systems
  • Provide monthly storage reports
  • Provide routine administrative support for SAN infrastructure including LUN management, SAN Aggregate allocation, and Storage Allocation.
  • Able to audit, remediate, and maintain DISA Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) checklist documentation on supported systems
  • Provide expert-level support for troubleshooting and resolving critical issues including root cause analysis, recommendation, and implement tactical and strategic solutions to problems
  • Ability to communicate with and manage OEM service support as needed
  • Develop and enforce best practices for storage management - data integrity, backup and recovery strategies, and disaster recovery planning, while continuously seeking opportunities to improve the performance and efficiency of multiple systems
  • Ability to lift-rack, install, move standard IT server room equipment including servers, network switches, cables, power supplies
  • Perform duties onsite for a standard 8hr day shift Monday- Friday


Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 7+ years of experience in systems administration
  • 5+ years of experience in SAN storage administration
  • 3+ years of working experience with Dell/EMC systems preferred
  • 2+ years experience working with VMware desired. vSAN preferred
  • Active CompTIA Security+ CE Certification or equivalent 
  • Active Dell Information Storage and Management Foundations Certification or Dell Power Max Maintenance Certification required or ability to obtain within 90 days
  • Experience with system design and implementation of large SAN system environments
  • Experience with enterprise backup solutions, Veritas NetBackup preferred 
  • High attention to detail
  • Superb documentation skills
  • Self-motivated to continuously grow skillset and stay at the forefront of technology evolution
  • DoD experience preferred
