Job description

Job Description
The Facility Operations Supervisor will be responsible for the supervision of plant personnel and operations, such as operation of distillation equipment, product mixing/blending, sampling/loading/offloading tanker trucks and rail cars.
Shift: Nights 3/2 Split Schedule
Pay: $75,000 - $85,000 Salary

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
  • Performs multiple site-specific plant operations, including, but not limited to, drum pumping, tank transfers, tanker truck and rail car sampling/offloading/loading in compliance with DOT requirements, operation of distillation equipment and scanning applications for waste tracking;
  • Supervises multiple Solvent Process Operators and Tanker Truck /Rail Car Loaders/Unloaders and plant operations;
  • Ensures that employees follow and maintain all applicable Health and Safety Standard Operating Procedures, holds employee's accountable;
  • Ensures that supervised operations/employees understand and have ownership for area specific permit required compliance standards;
  • Works under the direction of the Plant Operations Manager or equivalent;
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment;
  • Performs other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time by management and will be required by the needs of the Clean Harbors business.

Qualifications
What does it take to work at Clean Harbors?
  • High School diploma or equivalent required;
  • Must be 18 years or older;
  • 1+ Years of related experience;
  • Fork lift experience preferred (Not Required);
  • Ability to use computer;
  • Ability to lift 50 or more pounds;
