Summary:
This position is responsible for the direction of daily workflow, scheduling, leading staff, monitoring and evaluating staff performance, image quality, and equipment performance for MRI at designated Children's Health campus. This position reports to the Manager.

Responsibilities:
* Organizing, monitoring and directing staff and workflow on a daily basis within all MRI areas. Supervision of MRI staff to include: assessment of staff performance, PEACs, hiring, coaching/counseling of staff, schedules (staff and patients at all locations), and Kronos timekeeping.
* Continuing education of technologists, teaching/training new staff members and addressing image quality issues and/or productivity with existing staff.
* Contribute to the MR Safety Program alongside the MRSO and MRMD.
* Monitors MRI safety practices and ensures compliance with policies, protocols, regulatory and Joint Commission requirements.
* Responsible for MR quality and documentation; maintaining protocols, overseeing scanning quality of staff, initiating improvement processes and goal-setting.
* Coordinating MR daily activity with Nursing and Anesthesia for maximum MRI efficiency and productivity. Participates in multi-disciplinary team functions as required.
* Programmatic development to keep the department on the leading edge of technology; keeping abreast of developments in MR imaging and technology and participating in the implementation of new technology.
* Equipment selection and maintenance coordination; communication with vendors and regulatory requirements and reporting.
* Direct patient scanning

WORK EXPERIENCE
* At least 5 years Related experience Pref
* Senior level MRI Technologist, advanced imaging ability, previous experience in a leadership capacity Pref
EDUCATION
* Two-year Associate's degree or equivalent experience Req
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
* Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers as required by CP 1.20 Life Support Course Requirements Upon Hire Req
* ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT Upon Hire Req
