Midwest Staffing Group has partnered with a growing manufacturing company located in Circle Pines, MN!

1st Shift: 7:30 am - 4:00 pm Monday- Friday

Must have a minimum of 1–3 years of experience in inventory, warehouse, or distribution operations.

About the Role:
The inventory and warehouse clerk is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records while supporting daily warehouse operations in a manufacturing and distribution environment. This role ensures materials and finished goods are received, stored, issued, and shipped accurately and efficiently to support production schedules and customer deliveries. - Consistent, steady work history, with no gaps, is a must.

Key responsibilities

Inventory control

  • Receive, verify, and record incoming raw materials, components, and finished goods
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels through regular cycle counts and periodic physical inventories
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, shortages, or damaged materials
  • Assist with entering inventory transactions into ERP/WMS systems accurately and in a timely
  • Label, track, and organize inventory to ensure proper identification and traceability

Warehouse Operations

  • Forklift experience required.
  • Pick, stage, and pack materials and finished goods for production or customer shipment
  • Assist with loading and unloading trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment
  • Store materials in designated locations according to safety and space utilization standards
  • Assist with the preparation of shipping documentation and coordination with carriers as required
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe warehouse work areas
  • Manufacturing support
  • Assist in the issuing of materials to production based on work orders or bills of materials
  • Return unused materials to inventory and update system records accordingly
  • Communicate inventory availability or shortages to production and purchasing teams

Safety & Compliance

  • Follow all company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and warehouse best practices
  • Report unsafe conditions, damaged equipment, or inventory issues promptly

Qualifications

Preferred

  • Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification
  • Experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment
  • Familiarity with cycle counting and inventory control best practices

  • Identify process gaps that may lead to inventory inaccuracies and recommend corrective actions
  • Adhere to safety, housekeeping, and operational standards within the warehouse

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of experience in inventory control, ERP-based warehouse, or manufacturing operations
  • Experience performing inventory transactions in an ERP or WMS system
  • Strong data entry accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and basic reporting
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. And work in a warehouse/manufacturing environment

Preferred

  • Experience with manufacturing ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Epicor, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar)
  • Knowledge of cycle counting methodologies and inventory control best practices
  • Forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification
