About the job
We are a commercial cabinetry and architectural woodworking manufacturer seeking an experienced Engineer to support the design, detailing, and production of custom cabinetry and millwork for commercial construction projects. This role plays a key part in translating architectural intent into accurate shop drawings and production-ready information using Microvellum and AutoCAD.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working closely with Project Managers, Production, and Shop personnel to ensure quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery.
Key Responsibilities
โ€ขย ย  ย Prepare shop drawings and submittals using Microvellum and/or AutoCAD
โ€ขย ย  ย Develop cabinetry and millwork designs that meet architectural, specification, and contract requirements
โ€ขย ย  ย Manage and track shop drawings, submittals, revisions, RFIs, ASIs, and bulletins
โ€ขย ย  ย Enter products and assemblies into Microvellum / Product Planner
โ€ขย ย  ย Generate DXF drawings as required for production
โ€ขย ย  ย Review architectural drawings and specifications for accuracy and constructability
โ€ขย ย  ย Support quality assurance of engineered and produced materials
โ€ขย ย  ย Participate in continuous improvement efforts to increase productivity and profitability
Qualifications
โ€ขย ย  ย 2+ years of experience in cabinetry, millwork, or woodworking
โ€ขย ย  ย Proficiency in Microvellum, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam
โ€ขย ย  ย Strong understanding of cabinet and millwork design and construction methods
โ€ขย ย  ย Ability to read and interpret architectural and shop drawings fluently
โ€ขย ย  ย Familiarity with AWI, AWI QCP, LEED, FSC, and SEFA standards
โ€ขย ย  ย Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
