Dateline Exports is an established export company specializing in the supply of construction materials for overseas projects in the western Pacific Islands area, specifically Guam, Micronesia, Polynesia, and Melanesia. With over 30 years of experience, Dateline has been a responsive and trusted partner, providing construction materials for military and private development projects, along with value-added logistics services.

Position Overview

We are currently seeking a full-time Warehouse Associate who will be responsible for cargo reporting and movement. The Warehouse Associate will be responsible for handling all incoming/outgoing shipments; breaking down and repacking cargo; and reorganizing and warehouse cleanup. The right candidate will have previous forklift experience; knowledge of receiving/inventory control principles, practices, and protocols; and strong attention to detail.

Position Responsibilities

  • Handling all incoming/outgoing shipments
  • Inventory of incoming/outgoing shipments
  • Breaking down and repacking cargo
  • Staging and loading of outgoing cargo
  • Reorganizing and warehouse cleanup
  • Safely operate 5000-15,000 lb. capacity forklift and move material as long as 40 ft; work with other machinery and material handling equipment
  • Updating inventory records in the warehouse management system, accurately recording receipts, issuances, and transfers
  • Participate in warehouse activities including will calls, container loading/unloading activities, and transfers
  • Perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, and packing of materials
  • Complete company provided training, HAZMAT certification
  • Additional duties as assigned

Skills & Experience

  • 1+ years warehouse experience
  • Prior forklift certification is preferred along with basic competency with hand and power tools; 1500 hours seat time on 5000 lb. or larger forklift
  • Knowledge of receiving/inventory control principles, practices, and protocols
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail; basic math competency, understanding of percentages
  • Ability to lift/maneuver 50+ lbs. regularly
  • Ability to read/interact with a computer display
  • Willing to work in warehouse with frequent temperature exposure (hot and cold)
  • Ability to multi-task; adaptable
