Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of clientsโ€™ mood disorders, evaluating the severity, frequency, and duration of symptoms.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
  • Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care strategies to promote individual empowerment.
  • Monitor client progress closely, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Facilitate therapeutic groups and provide support to specialized populations, including those experiencing homelessness, refugees, and domestic abuse victims.
  • Engage in case consultations and participate in team meetings to ensure integrated care among health professionals.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records while adhering to all relevant legal and ethical standards.
  • Stay updated on the latest research and treatment modalities related to mood disorders to enhance therapy effectiveness.
  • Actively advocate for mental health awareness and support initiatives to combat stigma associated with mental health issues.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on clients dealing with mood disorders such as anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder. The Urban Renewal Center serves a broad client base, including individuals from various backgrounds, cultures, and age groups. Qualifications
  • A current and valid state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills to establish a trusting therapeutic relationship with clients.
  • Ability to approach client situations with empathy, understanding, and a nonjudgmental attitude.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills to effectively manage client caseloads and administrative responsibilities.

Compensation and Benefits
