OCH Technologies is hiring a Full Stack Developer for a position supporting the FAA’s NAS Defense Program. The Software Developer will provide full stack development and documentation support for the FAA. Candidate must have strong expertise in React or another modern framework (Angular, Vue, etc.), Node.js, or Python and MongoDB.

Core Responsibilities & Duties

  • Participating in team and stakeholder discussions and provide recommendations when possible.
  • Creating UI wireframes on new software functionality to be implemented.
  • Creating and updating application documentation with an attention to detail.
  • Building/ developing unit tests using Jest, react-testing-library, etc.
  • Participating in team coding exercises, paired programming, and performing code reviews and pull-request approvals.
  • Participating in detailed analysis of functional and technical design discussion.
  • Supporting Technical and Maintenance activities including security and deficiency assessments, resolution of technical issues affecting system performance, architecture development and system modernization recommendations.
  • Requirements gathering, testing, and providing configuration management including software release management, automated pipeline support, and containerization support.
  • Developing System Documentation including System Design Documents, Software Architecture documentation, Diagrams, etc.

Responsibilities may evolve over time to support team and organizational goals, but will remain consistent with the overall scope of the role.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Math or Science


Experience:

  • A minimum of five (5)+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience developing Web Applications using React or another modern framework (Angular, Vue, etc.) Node.js or MongoDB
  • Familiarity with Linux based operating systems
  • Experience developing and supporting docker-based web applications
  • Experience with Atlassian products including JIRA, Bitbucket, and Confluence

Security Clearance Requirement:

Candidate must have the ability to hold and maintain a Secret Clearance


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience implementing CI/CD systems
  • Experience with MERN stack - MongoDB, Express, React and Node
  • Experience with Python
  • Experience with Ansible
  • Experience creating UI design of wire frame diagram
  • Experience with GIS technologies - (Esri, ArcGIS)

Other Required Skills and Abilities

  • Must be able to effectively communicate with customers and fulfill all duties and responsibilities as listed in the contract.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite including, but not limited to: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced development environment.
