Our Clinics are open Monday through Friday between the hours of 7am-6pm (hours vary based on location and day)

Compensation

Salary Range: $19.00-$21.00

Position Summary

The Medical Assistant (MA) supports the delivery of high-quality occupational and primary care services by performing both clinical and administrative tasks within Mobile Health’s clinics. This role plays a key part in preparing patients for exams, assisting providers, and ensuring smooth clinic operations that align with established protocols, regulatory requirements, and company standards.
Working collaboratively with nurse practitioners, X-ray Technicians, and administrative staff, the Medical Assistant ensures accurate documentation, proper infection control practices, and a safe, efficient experience for every patient. With a strong focus on organization, customer service, and attention to detail, the MA contributes directly to Mobile Health’s mission of providing accessible

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Answer the telephones in a courteous and professional manner and respond to inquiries.

  • Monitor the waiting room and assist patients with check-ins or check-outs and answered questions

  • Registration and data entry of patient information and history

  • Collect blood and urine samples according to policy and procedures

  • Take, and record, patient vital signs

  • Prepare patients for medical tests and examinations

  • Ensure the patient flow is moving in an efficient manner

  • Receive and convey messages in writing, verbally, and electronically

  • Interact with clinicians, other health professionals and staff in courteous and professional manner

  • Maintain the confidentiality of all Personal Health Information as dictated by HIPPA laws

  • Verifying accuracy and ensuring all required payment documentation is complete

  • Complete charge tickets and ensure receipt on money

  • Fax, scan and file documents

  • Place orders for clerical supplies and/or clinical supplies as directed

  • Participate in ongoing professional development activities

  • Any other administrative duties as directed by Management

  • Additional duties as assigned

  • Demonstrates the ability to learn innovative approaches, tools, and methodologies to stay abreast and move ahead in position/field.

  • Flexible and able to multi-task; can work within an ambiguous fast-moving environment, while also driving toward clarity and solutions

  • Displays the ability to review related information and systematically work to identify the root cause of difficult problems.  Capable of analyzing alternate approaches and developing practical solutions to solve complex problems.

  • Ability to behave in an honest, fair, and highly ethical manner. Shows consistency in words and actions.

  • Strong business process and service skills including giving and receiving feedback, active listening, conflict resolution, negotiation, group facilitation, delegation, coaching, influencing and visioning.

  • Strong MS Office Skills (Word, Excel, etc.)

  • Knowledge of occupational health a plus

Experience & Education

  • Certification/Registration as Medical Assistant.

  • 1-2 years' experience as a Medical Assistant preferred; Recent graduates welcomed!

  • Experience with the use of electronic medical records system

  • Proficiency with computers

  • Ability to relate well to patients and staff

  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills

  • Able to work independently and as a part of a team

  • Basic math and literacy skills
