Job Description:

TheMedical AssistantLeadwill perform clinical and administrative duties under the administrator's direction and support the team, other leads, and providers.

PrimaryDuties &Responsibilities:

  • Oversee medical assistants in their duties and ensure that competencies andproficienciesare completed.

  • Prepare employee schedules, approve time sheets, and requesttime off.

  • Run stent report monthly anddetermineif stent was removed, exchanged,or pendingfollow-up.

  • Maintain and manage all medical equipment.

  • Order office and medical supplies through IOS inventory.

  • Exercise problem-solving andconflict-resolutionskills when handling patients.

  • Communication with drug representatives.

  • Manage CPR renewal.

  • Oversee CLIA and CLIA inspections.

  • Prepare monthly calendar for renderingprovider.

  • Provide assignments (side work) for medical assistants and ensure it isbeing completed.

  • Complete monthly back-office inspectionanddocument code box and oxygentanks arein working order.

  • Assistteam and lead members when needed.

  • Create various workflows, policies,and procedures to enhance staff.

  • Provide excellent customer/patient services and ensure staffisas well.

  • Provide in-services and training to staff.

  • Provide monthly meetings with staff to address issues and concerns.

  • Oversee all medicalassistants'andproviders'PAQ, tasks, schedules,and portal messages.

  • Attend meetings asrequested.

  • Exercise problem-solving andconflict-resolutionskills when handling patients.

  • Maintain strict patient confidentiality and privacyfollowingoffice policies and procedures and HIPAA privacy and securityrequirements,andexercise utmost discretion in patient and staff interactions.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum High School Diploma or GEDrequired.

  • Completion ofa Medical Assistant program ortwoyears of Medical Assistant experience in a medical clinic isrequired; Urology experience is a plus.

  • Minimum of two years of leadership experiencerequired;supervisory preferred.

  • Urology experience is a plus.

  • Ability to type 40 words per minute.

Travel:

  • As part of yourposition'srequirements, you are expected to travel to other sites within a reasonable geographic region.

Knowledge, Competencies & Skills:

  • Excellent customer service skills.

  • Attention to detail and willingness to learn.

  • Proficiencyin triaging patients, phlebotomy, administering injections,obtaining vitals, and processing specimens.

  • Proficient knowledge of medical terminology,ICD-9,andCPT-4 Codes.

  • Strong communicationskills, both verbal& written.

  • Proficient computer software and database skills.

  • Comfortable speaking on the phone and working in a fast-paced environment.

  • Very comfortableasking probing questions to patients.

  • Mustdemonstratea caring, compassionate, and patient attitude.

  • Maintain HIPAA compliance.

  • Multitasking and proactive problem-solving.

  • A high levelof professionalism.

  • Ability to type a minimum of 40 words per minute.

Pay Range:$26.00 - $28.00 per hour
