Educational Technician II - Title, Math & Literacy Interventionist - Sanford School Department
Sanford School Department is seeking qualified candidates for a full-time Math & Literacy Interventionist position.
The position will play a critical role in supporting student math & literacy development through targeted instruction and collaboration with staff. This position is an integral part of the school's Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 math and literacy interventions for students depending on need and schedule. Coaches will guide and support with planning, or you will utilize programs already in place to target specific skills.
  • Deliver push-in classroom support and pull out support in collaboration with classroom teachers and coaches.
  • Progress monitor students frequently and input that information into the students' MTSS form. Collaborate with coaches as needed for this support.
  • A willingness to learn new strategies that align with current programming and best practices.
  • Collaborate positively and effectively with teachers, staff, and families.
  • Be flexible as we implement a new inclusion model and assist with ensuring that all students are successful.

Qualifications:
  • Appropriate certification required
  • Experience working with elementary students encouraged
  • Strong understanding of literacy & math instruction, intervention strategies, and differentiated instruction
  • Ability to build strong relationships with students and staff
  • Demonstrates patience, kindness, and compassion
  • Commitment to collaboration and continuous improvement
