Job description

St. Coleman Catholic School in Pompano Beach, Florida is seeking a qualified full-time Mathematics Teacher for the 2026-27 school year. This teacher will be expected to plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program for Math students. This teacher performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami. Salary will vary based on certification and years of experience.  

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Math Education, or subject- related field.
  • FDOE Teaching certificate in Mathematics; temporary or professional preferred- or is in the process of applying (considered with statement of eligibility).
  • Must obtain catechetical certification from the Archdiocese of Miami Office of Catechesis within three days of hire.
  • Excellent classroom management skills.
  • Strong presentation skills with use of instructional technologies.
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel; PowerPoint a plus.
  • Good spelling and grammar are required.
  • Effective oral and written English communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
  • Fully committed, supportive, and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church: experience in Roman Catholic environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic tenets of Catholic Church.
  • Must have a professional demeanor, including adherence to dress code.
