You'll be instrumental in the classroom, co-teaching alongside general and special education staff to deliver engaging and accessible Math instruction. Your expertise will help ensure every student receives personalized support, especially those with diverse learning needs.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Arizona Secondary Teaching Certificate
- Special Education (SPED) Licensure for Arizona
- Current IVP Fingerprint Card
- Demonstrated success teaching Math in a special education or inclusive setting
- Experience as a co-teacher or in team-teaching models preferred
- Commitment to culturally responsive practices and fostering a supportive classroom atmosphere
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with another Math teacher to plan and deliver effective instruction for both general and special education students
- Adapt lesson plans and materials to meet Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals
- Monitor student progress, provide differentiated support, and maintain detailed documentation
- Work closely with staff, administrators, and families to ensure student success
- Participate in IEP meetings, professional development sessions, and school events
- Uphold all district and state guidelines to promote a positive, inclusive classroom culture
This is a fully onsite role requiring a presence at the campus each day; virtual or remote work is not available.
