Position Overview

The Material Handler is responsible for maintaining the location of work-in-process (WIP) inventory and ensuring materials are delivered to machine operators for the next stage of production. This role is critical to keeping manufacturing operations organized, efficient, and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities
  • Move materials throughout the warehouse and manufacturing facility
  • Safely operate a sit-down forklift to transport skids and materials between departments
  • Maintain accurate WIP inventory locations within the ERP system
  • Deliver materials to production areas to support manufacturing schedules
  • Ensure inventory is properly stored and organized
  • Assist with inventory accuracy and material tracking
  • Follow all company safety policies and warehouse procedures
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Assist with other warehouse and production duties as assigned
Qualifications

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a fast-paced warehouse or manufacturing environment
  • Experience safely operating a sit-down forklift
  • Basic computer skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong attendance and reliability
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic

Preferred:

  • Experience using an ERP or inventory management system
  • Previous experience handling work-in-process (WIP) inventory in a manufacturing environment
Physical Requirements
  • Regularly sit, stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the workday
  • Safely operate a sit-down forklift for extended periods
  • Lift, move, push, and pull up to 50 pounds on a routine basis
  • Work in a warehouse/manufacturing environment while maintaining productivity and safety standards
