Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Technician to join our Evansville Tool Shop facility. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring tooling quality and precision through advanced inspection techniques, CMM programming and operation, and collaboration with manufacturing teams. The ideal candidate is a self-driven professional with strong analytical skills, a passion for quality, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

Complete tooling inspections and reports through various methods such as visual verification, 3D scanning, CMM operation, and other gauges

Must be able to read and interpret tooling prints and specifications

Provide CMM support and training for manufacturing employees

Perform Quality Room and CMM maintenance

Support the Calibration, Non-conformance, Quality Communications and Final Approval processes

Required Education / Qualifications:

High School Diploma / GED equivalent

3+ years of experience in programming and operation of coordinate measuring machines within industrial manufacturing environments.

Familiarity with tooling

Windows based computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Ability to work independently and as an effective team

Strong organizational skills with proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously

Excellent problem-solving skills using established Quality methods

Ability to lift 50 pounds

Ability to safely operate a forklift

Ability to work overtime as needed

Preferred Education / Qualifications:

Associates Degree or Metrology certifications

Experience with Mastercam, CMM Manager, Polyworks and / or Solidworks

Multiple years of experience in full tool build programs

Familiarity with the ISO 9001 Standard

Extensive knowledge in various types of tooling
