Job description

Plastech Corporation is now hiring full-time entry level Machine Press Operators! Operate automatic and semi-automatic injection molding machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation. Follow established production/process specifications or instructions. Perform manual packaging operations to fill, mark, label, band, tie pack, and/or wrap containers with products and materials. Observe operations and inspect packaged items for conformance with specifications. Tally, weigh, stack, and arrange products and packed containers. Maintain operating records and reports of test results. Report any malfunctions or abnormalities of equipment.
Schedule & Compensation:
Plastech Corporation pays on a weekly basis. This position is on a 6&3 rotating schedule which means you will work 6 days and have the next 3 days off in a row.
Hours Available:
• 1st Shift - 7:00am to 3:30pm - $16.00 per hour
• 2nd Shift - 3:00pm to 11:30pm - $17.00 per hour
• 3rd Shift - 11:00pm to 7:30am - $18.00 per hour
***External candidates receive a $300 BONUS after 90 days of employment (must meet performance and attendance requirements).
Essential Functions:
• Maintain quality: Perform visual inspection of each part, comparing parts to startup, trimming, clipping, or torching off excessive plastic when necessary. Maintain computer database with defects.
• Packaging: Properly pack, label, and stack each shipping container with plastic parts. Maintain accurate log sheets and box counts, including partial amounts at the end of the shift. Keep up grinding when necessary.
• Machine operation: Use proper procedures in operating an injection molding machine. Read Picture Packet and Bill of Material.
• Assistance: Assist other operators with grinding and rework as directed by the Supervisor. Maintain a clean working environment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA's):
Knowledge, Education, Experience and/or Certifications:
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing setting is helpful but not required.
Skills & Abilities:
• Read and interpret documents such as Picture Packet, IOP, procedure manual, and safety rules.
• Communicate effectively with co-workers and management.
• Fill out general communication paperwork in written form legibly so as to be understood.
• Must be able to verbally pass on information to the next operator.
