Magellan Healthcare, PC is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our innovative mental health team in Ontario, California. Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and nurture positive, trusting relationships with patients through effective communication and empathy.
  • Conduct thorough assessments to diagnose mental health disorders, ensuring an accurate understanding of each patient’s needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to the unique circumstances and preferences of each client.
  • Facilitate therapeutic sessions with individuals and couples, focusing on techniques that encourage open dialogue and emotional expression.
  • Regularly monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to reflect changes in their mental health condition.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and refer clients to specialized services when their needs surpass the scope of therapy sessions.
  • Stay informed about the latest evidence-based practices in order to deliver highly effective therapeutic interventions.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As an LMFT at Magellan Healthcare, you will work predominantly with a varied patient population, including children, adolescents, and adults facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and family dynamics. Our clients come from diverse backgrounds, and we pride ourselves on creating an inclusive environment that supports every individual’s journey toward mental wellness.

Qualifications
  • A valid state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related field.
  • Strong knowledge of mental health diagnoses and evidence-based therapeutic practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to motivate clients to achieve their personal goals.
  • Exceptional communication skills, fostering a transparent and trusting client-therapist relationship.
Preferred Experience
  • Specialized training or extensive experience in addiction counseling.
  • Familiarity with systemic therapy methods and group therapy facilitation.
  • Previous work within an outpatient mental health setting would be advantageous.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 90,000 annually, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Additional benefits include:
